I really have something lovely to blog about now....
We are so excited and thankful!
The other week I received an email from Ixion holdings inviting me to the Anglia Ruskin Cambridge Campus....it also stated that Bob&John Knitwear were shortlisted for the NEA Enterprise Business Awards....
So as you would think I was so excited!
It was an optional competition entry which I agonised over for hours....filling in the questions, describing how Bob&John have used the schemes money to develop the business. It actually made me quite focused because I could clearly see what had been achieved in the last three months of trading and what I want to achieve in the future!
So as you can imagine I was super excited to see what would happen.
On the 31st of July, My Auntie, my sister and I took ourselves to Cambridge and waited for the awards to start by meeting the other shortlisted businesses such as Food!by Lizzi, The Purple Paw, Arks and Rainbows and Eastworks. Too nervous to eat any of the lovely nibbles available we eagerly awaited.
Bob&John were shortlisted for the 'Best Retail Business 2013'!
So we waited through the other categories such as 'Best Creative Business' and 'Best Hospitality Business'.....
Our category came up...the Silver award was announced...
And then....the gold.....
and....
WE WON!!!!!!!!!
SO SO SO EXCITED (NEARLY CRIED)
This was such a shock but was so brilliant to have some recognition of the hard work we have all put in to Bob&John...
So after this we couldn't believe our luck when the "Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013' was announced!!....
Yes we got it!
And I couldn't believe it.....
Thank you so much to the Ixion Holdings scheme!
With out the help they have given me Bob&John wouldn't be trading today....
This has given me such as boost and it was so great to meet some fab Ixion Businesses too....
Congratulations to all the other winners!
What a fab fab day we all had....
So lets keep the Bob&John momentum going....
