Fun and interesting results reworking the BOB AND JOHN logo for the back of the jumpers.....
Using the Shima Seiki power knitting machine software I programmed in the design by drawing free hand like you could in a photoshop or illustrator document....translating the name into stitches.....similar to a graph...its starting to get technical...anyway....
I feel the text has a hand written presence and innocence which could lend its hand to childrenswear but its how BOB AND JOHN apply it to menswear which will be the challenge.
I have been working in both 100& Cotton and 100& Lambswool from NOVETEX (very, very kindly sponsored)
The fantastic yarns gives it a crisp defined finish which once washed gives the comforting feel you want from a jumper....
This is the opposite side to the jacquard reverse technique....it creates the name backwards and in opposite colours...
This is the intended use for the BOB AND JOHN name...
